Announcing the HIV Housing Toolkit!

PAN is delighted to announce the launch of its HIV Housing Toolkit!

Explore the HIV Housing Toolkit by visiting www.hivhousingtoolkit.ca\

This Toolkit was developed as part of knowledge translation for the community-based research study Positive Living, Positive Homes. Many people who participated in this study expressed a need for this kind of tool as it would support people living with HIV to access safe and appropriate housing. This multi-module Toolkit contains information, resources, printable graphics, and links about housing in BC for people living with HIV. It is intended to provide tools and resources for people living with HIV, as well as service providers who support people living with HIV, in navigating BC’s housing landscape.

The HIV Housing Toolkit contains eight modules (with one coming soon!) on various topics related to housing for people living with HIV in BC, including:

  • Background to the HIV Housing Toolkit
  • How Housing Works in BC
  • Is Moving Right for You?
  • Choosing and Moving into Housing
  • Tenant and Landlord Rights and Responsibilities
  • Trouble-Shooting Tenant Problems
  • HIV, Stigma, and Housing
  • Housing Resources in BC
  • HIV Information for Housing Staff (coming soon!)

All of the modules include links to external resources to learn more about the topics, and many include printable graphics and resources developed by PAN (you can check out those resources here).

Please share widely with your networks and feel free to send us your thoughts, comments, and feedback!
