WALK Coordinator

Under the direction of the Director of Development or his/her designate, the AIDS WALK to THRIVE Fundraising Coordinator is contracted to develop, nurture and manage corporate, team and individual WALKer initiatives, including online team fundraising. This position will also work with the Special Events Coordinator to coordinate on-site logistics and activities with our RED event in May (cabaret and fashion show fundraiser).

The Gemini studies are being conducted to learn if the combination of two medications, one called dolutegravir (DTG) and one called lamivudine (3TC), is an effective treatment for adults who have HIV and never started treatment, or if they have started treatment, were on treatment for 10 days or less.

During the study, you will receive either DTG and 3TC or DTG and tenofovir disoproxil fumarate/emtricitabine (TDF/FTC) fixed dose combination (FDC). You will not know which you are taking until about 2 years of participation in the study. Your participation will last approximately 3 years.

We raised $26,950 this past Wednesday!

A huge thank you to all that attended the Red Ribbon Breakfast! Together our community raised $26,950 through donations and sponsorship. Peer Support Facilitator Position

This year’s high-energy event is staged by 200 volunteers rallying together to donate their time, talent and loving care in support of Positive Living BC—Western Canada’s largest consumer-based HIV service organization.
