Cancel the 2019 Rent Increase

The BC government recently announced that a 4.5% rent increase will be allowed in 2019.
Instead of standing up for renters, it looks like the government is going to let the highest rent increase in 15 years happen. But we can stop these rent increases from happening — if we act now. It is possible for the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing Selina Robinson to cancel this rent hike for 2019 using her powers under the Regulations Act. Cancel the 2019 Rent Increase

The BC government recently announced that a 4.5% rent increase will be allowed in 2019.
Instead of standing up for renters, it looks like the government is going to let the highest rent increase in 15 years happen. There are 60,000 families in Metro Vancouver who spend more than 50% of their income on housing, leaving us with very little money to cover our basic necessities!!
But we can stop these rent increases from happening — if we act now.
It is possible for the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing Selina Robinson to cancel this rent hike for 2019 using her powers under the Regulations Act — but only if we tell her loud and clear, so she can’t just ignore our concerns! She needs to hear from renters across the province that this rent hike is unacceptable, and needs to be canceled.
